Log settings

Here you can specify which log messages the platform saves. You cannot completely disable logging, but the number of messages can be significantly reduced.

Go to: Control Center > Logs > Log settings

This view is divided into four tabs. Each tab controls a separate area of the logging process.

Purpose

Profiles: Global log settings

Default logging behavior for all profiles that do not have their own settings.

Profiles: Specific log settings

Profile-specific overrides of the default behavior.

CI/ASM log settings

Logging for the "Content inspection" and ASM (Asynchronous Sending Module).

General log settings

Global log configuration settings from startup.xml. Changes are saved permanently.

Required permissions

Permissions apply on a per-tab basis. Administrators have access to all tabs.

Profiles: Global log settings

Administrator or System logging.

Profiles: Specific log settings

Administrator. Other users need Control Center as well as Edit all profiles or Create profiles.

CI/ASM log settings

Administrator, ContentInspection, or Asynchronous Sending (ASM).

General log settings

This view was previously called Configuration. The tab structure has been revised, and the page is now called Log settings. The content and format of the actual log data remain unchanged.
