Rules enable the configuration of logical conditions in Event handling, Association criteria and some Resolvers.
A set of predefined rule types provide building-blocks for defining rules. Occasionally, a single rule element may suit the purpose of defining a specific condition. More often, it will be necessary to aggregate multiple rules in the Rule editor.
Each individual rule returns a Boolean value (true or false) as a result of a certain evaluation. Since a Junction of multiple rules also returns a Boolean value, a Junction is ranked as a specific rule type.
