Updates for operating systems, databases, and the Lobster Data Platform software are rolled out automatically on a fixed schedule, ensuring that your system always runs on the latest stable version.

Security and compliance
Your data is hosted in a certified environment on AWS infrastructure that meets all European legal requirements, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Swiss data protection legislation. Lobster is certified according to ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27018, and ISO 9001.

Reliability and resilience
All Lobster Cloud environments are monitored around the clock. Your system is continuously checked by automated monitoring tools. Most faults are detected and resolved automatically before they have any impact on your business processes.
Two monitoring response levels are available depending on your requirements:

Daily backups are performed automatically for all environments. Production systems have a backup retention of 30 days; test systems, 7 days. Recovery procedures are in place and tested to ensure business continuity.
For customers with mission-critical workloads, the TRANSFORM edition includes a High Availability architecture as standard, with a multi-node setup, DNS-based failover, database replication, and a guaranteed availability of 99.9% per month. SCALE and ACCELERATE customers can also migrate to the HA architecture at additional cost.
Performance and scalability
Each customer environment runs on dedicated virtual machines with separate database instances. This architecture ensures consistent performance without interference from other tenants.
